Castle Loch video: The Scottish Land Fund were instrumental in enabling the community buyout of Castle Loch. At the tail end of 2016 they made a series of videos covering some of the projects they have supported, including this one about Castle Loch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJA8gC1Y1DE

Castle Loch on ITV’s Border Life: Just in case you missed the ITV Border Life feature on Castle Loch, here is the link to watch online. Castle Loch is the first item and I think we all came across really well. Thanks to everyone for their help on the day of filming. http://www.itv.com/…/u…/2016-07-11/watch-border-life-online/

Can you believe it has been 8 years since the the communities of Lochmaben, Royal Four Towns and Templand decided to purchase Castle Loch? Where do the years go? To mark the 8th anniversary we've produced a short leaflet outlining the story and achievements to date - download here www.castleloch.org.uk/.
The slideshow has a few photos spanning the last 8 years, from the first volunteers session in 2014 to the recent opening of the new woodland path, and lots of things in between.
If you would like to support the Trust's work (become a member, make a donation, come and volunteer), then please do visit www.castleloch.org.uk/getting-involved/

Can't believe I'm having to say this, but please, please don't go walking on the iced over loch. It isn't as stable as it looks and only yesterday there were still areas of open water. ... See MoreSee Less
