The Castle Loch Lochmaben Community Trust will shortly be signing the documents transferring the ownership of the Castle Loch and Lochfield Cottage to the Trust. In the meantime the Trust, anxious to get on with the development of the pathway and other works, are advertising for a Part-time Project Development Officer week commencing 6th January. The Post will be in the local papers this week and is already on the Countryside Jobs Service website.

We are getting good support from grant aiding organisations. Dumfries and Galloway Leader Programme have recently awarded us up to £16500 matched funding towards the Project development costs.

Jackie Bell of Jaybees is arranging a logo competition among local nursery and primary children. Rostrum will be sponsoring prizes and will be helping with the selection of the winners together with a panel of local people.

We now have 263 members of the Trust and will be holding our first Annual General Meeting towards the end of March.
